Large vintage Mexican folk art style woman doll, measuring approximately 29 inches tall. The doll features a molded plastic head with hand-painted facial details and hand-sewn traditional-style clothing.
She is dressed in a deep red velvet top with bead accents, beaded earrings, and a full cream satin skirt with gathered tiers. The doll is finished with knickers worn beneath the skirt (see photo), a charming and well-made detail often seen in artisan dolls.
Clothing appears hand-constructed, while the head is manufactured, suggesting a hand-dressed artisan doll rather than a factory-branded toy. No maker’s mark or label present.
Condition: Overall good vintage condition. There are several small holes in the long cream satin skirt--the most near the hem (noted for accuracy please see photos). Beading and velvet bodice are intact. Displays beautifully.
